Student activities is an important part of
college life at Edgewood. The activities and events planned by the various
clubs and organizations supplement your academic life with valuable
experience, fun, and friendship. Out-of-classroom programs provide
opportunities for vocational growth, leadership training, community service,
and personal development. The people who get involved in student activities
are people like you, so GET INVOLVED! Campus leaders aren't born, nor are
they members of some exclusive club. You have the power to be a student
leader. The necessary skills are developed through experience, role
modeling, and training.

Guidelines for Student
Organization Websites
Effective October 15, 2001
Student clubs/organizations websites are setup as "subwebs" of Edgenet. This
allows the club/organization develop its site into something unique, and
makes it easier to maintain Edgenet. FrontPage webs use "default.htm" as
the homepage, and pages will be in .htm or .html form. Every student
club/organization will have access to the latest version of FrontPage for
creating their student organization website.
Students can serve as web-publishers for student organization/club websites.
It is recommended that the organization/club advisors monitor web content.
To request a website for your student organization/club, send an email
request to
webmaster@edgewood.edu. Please include the name of your advisor, and
the name of the person who will be maintaining the website.
If your club would like a site, but your web-publisher lacks the time or
knowledge to design a website, webmaster will provide a generic FrontPage
template for each student organization/club to use. This template is simple,
but serves its purpose, and is easy to update and maintain.
