Dominican! I am a Junior this year and am majoring
in English teaching. In my spare time I love
dancing, scrapbooking and reading. I also am an RA

have a question about anything... writing or otherwise

Marissa Freber |
My name is Mari Freber, and I'm currently a freshman
here. I have officially chosen English Teaching as
my major, because that sort of stuff has always been fun
for me (nerd, i know). To go along with the
nerdiness, I love to read and write stories, which I
then post on a website that I'm an author on. I'm
also on the Edgewood Track and Field team, where I run
sprints and hurdles.

Intrepid Speech tutor! |

Regina Hurley |
Regina has not yet submitted her biography. |

Kedar Joyner |
My name is Kedar Joyner, and I’m a
senior at Edgewood College studying English and
literature. Teaching English and writing has
always been a passion of mine. In the summer of 2006, I
taught English in China to middle school students.
Afterwards, I continued to teach at Augsburg College for
an after school program that helped students who spoke
English as a second language. My experiences with
teaching have been incredible adventures, and very
rewarding. I enjoyed those experiences so much that I
decided to become certified in Teaching English as a
Foreign Language last winter. When an Edgewood Professor
gave me a copy of “Why I Write” by Orson Wells, I
realized further that teaching English and writing was
my “calling” so to speak. I’m always looking for
ways to improve not only my own writing, but others as
well.

Bailey Kaiser |

Mike McDonald |
Sir Michael Charles Robert Ebenezer McDonald Brenan
XII, PhD, MD, is a freshman at Edgewood College, a Navy
SEAL, Texas Ranger, cult leader and proud father of
sixteen children. He was born in a log cabin in
the Montana wildness during the bitter winter of
nineteen-ought-four to a lumberjack and a wolverine.
He wrote his dissertation on nano-technology in medical
microbiology applications under Confucius at the Khufu
University in China, then went on to receive his Doctor
of Medicine degree from John Hopkins School of Medicine
in 1848. After he finished school, he joined Her
Majesty’s Royal Navy, switched sides, and was one of
Saladin’s top Lieutenants during the Children’s Crusade,
after which he spent 40 years in prison for treason.
During his incarceration he translated the Bible from
Latin to Pig Latin, for which he was then knighted.
Deciding to start life anew, he picked up and moved to
Chicago, Illinois where he perished saving twenty-two
children from a burning orphanage during the Great
Chicago Fire. Franklin D. Roosevelt announced
shortly after that every sixth Tuesday of every month
henceforth will pay homage to Sir Michael Charles Robert
Ebenezer McDonald Brenan XII, PhD, MD’s amazing life
full of accomplishments and beautiful women. Sir
Michael Charles Robert Ebenezer McDonald Brenan XII,
PhD, MD’s hobbies include underwater basket weaving,
pan-handling, singing back-up harmonies for Metallica
and raising money for polio research.
